    • short_info<p>Rabbi Shulem Moshkovitz, known as the Shotzer Rebbe, was born in Suceava, Romania. He was a descendant of the famed chasidic Rebbe Yechiel Mikhl of Zlotshov</p>
    • info<p>Background<br /> He emigrated to London, England, before World War II, settling in Stamford Hill, a part of London where not many hasidic Jews lived then. In London, he became known as the Shotzer Rebbe. He established a Beis Medrash affiliated to the Union of Orthodox Hebrew Congregations.</p> <p>Rabbi Shulem was the son of Rabbi Mordechai Yosef Moshe of Sulitza. He married Shlomtza, his first cousin, the daughter of his father's brother, Rabbi Meir, and his first wife, Dinah. The Shotzer Rebbe wrote several volumes of Torah commentaries named Daas Sholom, are arranged according to the order of Perek Shira. He was a genius both in the revealed Torah and in Kabbala, and lived a lifestyle of holiness and simplicity.</p> <p>Among the Shotzer Rebbe's descendants are Rabbi David Moskowitz, the Shotzer Rebbe of Ashdod, Israel, and Rabbi Naftali Asher Yeshayahu Moskowitz, the Shotz-Melitzer Rebbe, also in Ashdod, author of several books, including Peiros Hailan on the laws of Chol HaMoed, and Nefesh Chaya, a commentary and interpretation of the Book of Psalms.</p> <p>He died in London on 22 Teves 5718 (1958), and is buried in the Adath Yisroel cemetery in Enfield. An ohel was built over his grave. His gravesite is known as a source of yeshuos and people from all over the world travel to his kever to seek salvations; it is a place of pilgrimage every Friday</p> <p>Rabbi Shulem left an ethical will specifying that anyone could come to his grave and ask for his help, as long as they undertake to better themselves in at least one way in exchange.</p> <p>May the merit of the tzadik Rabbi Shulem Moshkovitz protect us all. Amen</p>

      • text<h3 style="text-align:right">ביוגרפיה</h3> <p style="text-align:right">נולד בווירברונבקה, ליד לבוב, לרב מרדכי יוסף משה מוסקוביץ מסוליץ. היה צאצא בן אחר בן של רבי יחיאל מיכל מזלאטשוב ונקרא על שמו של זקנו האדמו"ר רבי שלום רוקח מבעלזא.</p> <p style="text-align:right">בשנת תרפ"ט עבר ללונדון והשתקע בשכונת סטמפורד היל, עוד בטרם הייתה מרכז יהודי חסידי. התפרסם כ"רבי משאץ". נודע כבקי בתחומים רבים בתורה.</p> <p style="text-align:right">נפטר בכ"ב בטבת תשי"ח ונטמן בבית החיים "עדת ישראל" שבשכונת "אנפילד" בעיר.</p> <h3 style="text-align:right">צוואתו</h3> <p style="text-align:right">בצוואתו (המופיעה על פי בקשתו המודפסת באהל הציון בעברית ביידיש ובאנגלית) הוא מבטיח שיעורר רחמים אצל אבותיו עבור כל מי שיעלה לציונו, ידליק נר לזכותו, ויקבל על עצמו קבלה כלשהי של התחזקות במצוות או בלימוד תורה. עוד ביקש בצוואתו שלא יכתבו על המצבה תארים מופלגים ובפרט שהתואר "צדיק" לא יופיע בה.</p> <p style="text-align:right">עוד זאת אומר בעניי, ידוע שתמיד רציתי להשיב רבים מעון, ולפעמים ב״ה עלתה בידי לי כהוגן. רצוני בזה אי״ה גם אחרי פטירתי מן העולם הזה השפל לג״ע, והיינו כן, מי שיצטרך ישועה ורפואה לו או לזולתו ילך על קברי ויעשה כזה, בבואו(טוב אם אפשר ביום ו׳ עש״ק בבקר) ידליק נר אחד עבור הנשמה שתלך ותודיע לי כי אני מתבקש. ואז ידליק ב׳ נרות עבורי, ויאמר המבוקש והשמות. ברור שאלך לאבותי הק׳ שהם יעוררו רחמים לישועה ורפואה. אבל תנאי כפול, שהמדובר או זולתו יבטיח לי להטיב דרכו לשמים בדבר אחד. מי שחנותו פתוחה בש״ק יבטיח לי שיסגור, מי שהיה מגלח זקנו בתער באיסור יעשה עתה במספריים, אשה שלא שמרה ר״ל נדה וטבילה מעתה תבטיח לי שתשמור כתורה וכהוגן, האשה שגילתה שערות ראשה תבטיח לשאת שייטל, איש בן תורה שאינו לומד יבטיח שמעתה ילמוד בכל יום ויום ודוקא גמרא, וכדומה כל אחד יבטיח איזה דבר טוב להטיב מעשיו, אז אי״ה אראה להשתדל לעורר רחמים. אבל זאת ידעו כל הבאים אלי ויבטיחו כנ״ל, לקיים מוצא שפתיהם, לא לשטות אותי לשעתו חייו ח״ו כי אז אהי׳ ברוגז גדול, ודי בעוה״ר ההשטאות בעוה״ז לא בעולם האמתי, וכל זה הנ״ל יהי׳ נכתב על דף בשפת יודיש וענגליש באר היטב. </p> <h3 style="text-align:right">בניו וחתניו</h3> <p style="text-align:right">רבי יצחק, חתן רבי לייבוש מרדכי משינאווא. נפטר לפני מלחמת העולם השנייה. אלמנתו וילדיו נרצחו בשואה.<br /> רבי יעקב, חתן הרב יוסף דב סיגל. נפטר בחיי אביו. דברי תורתו הודפסו בספר "שארית יעקב".<br /> רבי יחיאל מיכל, חתן רבי אלעזר הורוביץ ממעליץ. נפטר בחיי אביו. דברי תורתו הודפסו בספר "שארית יעקב".<br /> חתנו, גיסו ובן דודו רבי יואל משאץ מונטריאול<br /> חתנו רבי יעקב הלברשטאם, האדמו"ר מטשאקאווא<br /> חתנו רבי ישכר בער מוואדיסלב<br /> חלק מצאצאיו משמשים כאדמו"רים, מהם: האדמו"ר ממעליץ באשדוד, האדמו”ר משאץ–דרוביטש, האדמו”ר משאץ באנטוורפן והאדמו"ר משאץ בבית שמש.</p> <h3 style="text-align:right">ספריו</h3> <p style="text-align:right">דברי תורתו נכתבו בסדרת ספרים בשם "דעת שלום" על סדר "פרק שירה" וכן ספר "דעת שלום" על הרמב"ם ושולחן ערוך</p> <p style="text-align:right">זכותו תגן עלינו ועל כל ישראל, אמן</p>
